A water main break has closed Germantown High School for the rest of the day. Students were dismissed at 11 a.m. after a water main under River Lane experienced what Germantown administrators called a "severe leak."
According to the superintendent's office, this leak is strong enough that there is a need to fix it immediately. As a result, the high school will be without water.
The closure only affects the high school; other schools in the district will remain open. The Germantown Police Department worked with the school district to make for a safe dismissal.
